Well I feel like October lasted forever compared to September. We did a lot over this month. First I'll start off with talking about our new group of people that we are discipling. Around the end of September a pastor from a non-denomonationl church came to Pastor Dario (our superintendent a.k.a. boss) and asked if they could affiliate themselves with the Church of the Nazarene and it just so happened that their church was closest to our area of Manantay and so we had a new charge in the Asentamento Humano, Pueblo Libre. Now an Asentamento Humano is one step down from a district, so if you have a city it is divided into districts and the districts are divided into Asentamentos Humanos. Now that's out of the way, there are about 20 or more people (picture below) in this church and they are very eager to join the Church of the Nazarene. So eager that we only have about four more lessons until we can accept them as members. That means in a little over a month we will have doubled the number of people that we will have been discipling. Wow huh? God is good isn't he?
Now we also had an adventure to a place called Turnavista but it turned out that Turnavista would have to wait because there was still a little of indecisiveness in their church but nevertheless it was a fun trip. I even got to hold a loro which is basically a big green parrot (picture below). After that it was decided that we would be working in Campo Verde (picture below). Campo Verde is a nice little town which is separated into five etapas or stages, we are working in the second stage, but we are still working in Manantay until at least December 18 that should be long enough for us to complete the discipleship lessons we have started there and be ready to leave the church in the hands of the leaders there. Well until the next exciting episode of Going Off the Deep End.
